It has been a silent period in Kalmah camp when it comes to publicity but things are going strong as always. As you may have seen we are going live next year with full force. Canadian tour and festival shows are coming. There is also negotiations to play on brand new continents but nothing is for sure yet about those.
We have been writing new material meanwhile and we have 4-5 song structures or ready songs written waiting for Kalmah arrangements. The plan is to go in studio 2016 or early 2017. As usual we take our time writing and keep the Kalmah standards high.

KALMAH'S SEVENTH STUDIO ALBUM, 'SEVENTH SWAMPHONY', SET FOR RELEASE ON JUNE 17TH 2013 VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS
Stream of taster track, "WINDLAKE TALE"
THE UNDISPUTED champions of 'Swamp Metal' return to the scene with new studio album, 'Seventh Swamphony', the follow-up to 2010's '12 Gauge' release.
After 15 years together, with six full length albums under their collective belt, 2013 sees the Finnish musicians delivering Album No. 7 - an eight-track release showcasing this Oulu outfit's trademark frantic, yet melodic death metal style, tempered here by a new-found 'epic mournfulness'.
Set to be released on June 17th 2013 via Spinefarm Records, 'Seventh Swamphony' was recorded at Tico-Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland, and features a selection of brand new tracks, mixed & mastered at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, etc.)
Antti Kokko, Kalmah's lead guitarist, says:
"This album marks a milestone in our careers. We have a new keyboard player, which has given a fresh edge to the music, and we are of course very satisfied with the new material. That is why we wanted to give the songs the best possible chance without compromise; we feel very lucky and privileged to have worked with Jens Bogren."
We have entered studio to record our seventh full length album. This time there will be no studio diary in particular. Instead we are going to keep you updated via our website and Kalmah Facebook page. So follow it!
