8.5.09 - 6th album in progress

We have entered studio to record our 6th full length album. During May we will record 9 new songs and couple of covers. Mixing and mastering will take place at the beginning of Autumn when the daylight starts to disappear from the Northern Finland.

What`s new? Well, I would have to say that all Kalmah elements are strongly present and the band has more strength than ever. And we will very likely use real trumpet, so at least that is something new...

28.8.08 - UK and Japan releases

For the Revolution is now released in UK by Spinefarm Records U.K. and in Japan by Universal.

14.8.08 - FTR released in US and Canada

For the Revolution is now released in US and Canada by Spinefarm US. The album is licensed to South-Korea by Dope and is released as well. Fono has licensed the album to Russia.

22.6.08 - Licenses to North America, UK and Japan

Universal has licensed 'For the Revolution' to North America and Japan. Spinefarm UK has licensed it to UK and the UKrelease date is 14th July.

7.5.08 - 'For the Revolution' Levynjulkkarikeikka / Release gig

Hellvetin moiset levynjulkkarit ensimmäistä kertaa poppoon historiassa 30.5. AC Willisiassa. Liput 6 € ja narikka 2 €. Sinne siis!

3.5.08 - Kalmah hits finnish charts

'For the Revolution' hits official Finnish charts at position 17. This is the best position so far for northern Finland melodic swamp metallers. Check the whole list here »

3.5.08 - For the Revolution tour - success

The very first tour in Kalmah history outside Finland was a complete success! Last four of the venues were sold out, every piece of merchandise was sold out and the fans were absolutely crazy! Kalmah bows deep to the promotor, tour manager, merch seller and Talamyus guys + support bands. It was a real pleasure to make it happen with you guys! There will be gallery and video footage from the tour available very soon.

Recording dust has settled and we are now working with the booklet. The album cover will be revealed next week. "For the Revolution" was mastered at Cutting Room, Sweden. The complete tracklist is:

New Kalmah album is now mixed. Mastering will take place in the near future in Sweden. The album title is "For the Revolution" and will be released 2.4.2008. Track titles and album cover will be revelead in the near future.

Next Kalmah show is 14.2.2008 at International Metal Meeting, Tavastia. First confirmed summer festival Nummirock is confirmed as well.
